My system takes a very long time to startup and shutdown. It's very annoying for me. Plz suggest some software to manage and optimize system startup.

You can control what loads at startup by using the built in Windows function MSCONFIG.

Other programs you can try are:

http://www.online-solutions.ru/en/osam_autorun_manager.php

However, regardless of the option you choose, you do need to have some idea what you are doing, so that you don't disable something that is required by your operating system.

Probably the best option is look at the startup item name and if you don't know what it does Google the name and see if it is necessary. If you don't thinkl it is disavle it using MSCONFIG and then rreboot and see if the machine runs ok. If it does not re-enable it.

The other method of speeding up your pc is to upgrade your memory. This is something you may be able to do yourself.

The scan my system button at this site should be able to advise you what you need.
